flip the bed onto its feet.

Notice the four brackets on one of the long sides of the bed frame.

  • This is where the arm mounts to the bed.

Make sure these brackets are pointed towards an open area of the table with enough room for the arm.

Look at the front edge of the arm frame.

  • There are two T-slot ends sticking out of this side of the frame.

  • The outer rails are what go onto the brackets on the bed frame.

Step 2: Sliding Bed onto Arm Mount

Prebuilt assembly_Page 36-20240403-204052.png

Take the arm section and stand it up on it’s feet on the table.

  • Line up the T-slots on the arm with the brackets on the bed frame.

  • Slide the arm section onto the bed.

At this point the arm may stand on it’s own but it is not attached yet, keep a hand on it until the screws are tightened.

Tighten the four set screws going into the arm frame.

  • The two screws next to the circuit case are difficult to reach, but you should be able to reach the top screw reaching down between the bed and the case, and the lower screw by reaching under the arm.

Step 4: Initial Leveling of Base

Β

Looking at the Control board, notice the screw terminals on the side of the board closest to the Z-axis.

  • These terminals should be covered by a plastic lid. Flip the lid up.

  • The two terminals on the left should already be populated.

Loosen the two terminals on the right as much as possible without removing them.

  • The space for the wires is cramped so you will want as much room to slide the spade connector in as you can get.

Take the black wire from the bed and put it in the leftmost open terminal.

  • Take one of the screws and screw it down to the terminal, making sure it is pushed all the way in as you do.

  • Take the red wire from the bed and put it in the rightmost terminal.

  • Take the other screw and screw the wire down into the terminal, making sure it is pushed all the way in as you do.

Take the thermistor cable and plug it into TEMP_0 on the Duet board.
